RCWP, "MAGA communists" and the imperialist war

The following article was published in 902 portal («Η στήριξη του ιμπεριαλιστικού πολέμου και η «τρικυμία στο κρανίο»), the official news portal of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE). on 31 March 2023:

Recently, the website of the Russian Communist Workers' Party (RCWP) published an interview with Haz Al-Din, a U.S citizen of Arab origin, who alongside with others have created an “online collective” known as “Infrared”. This person considers himself to be a “Marxist-Leninist” and, as the RCWP website informs us in the introduction, he “infiltrates” the U.S Republican Party. Apparently, this is something interesting for the RCWP which decided to present his views in Russia.

Union of Communists of Ukraine: Letter to the Russian Communist Workers' Party

Union of Communists of Ukraine, Letter from the Union of Communists of Ukraine to comrades from the Russian Communist Workers' Party

At this critical moment, when the instigators of imperialist war managed to pit the peoples of the two, until recently, fraternal republics that founded the Soviet Union, the Russian Federative Soviet Socialist Republic and the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, against each other. The republics which made the greatest contribution to its great deeds - industrialization, the victory over German Nazism, conquest of outer space, development of unique Soviet social relationships, creation of the outstanding Soviet culture - we address to you, the rank-and file communists, who are just like us do not seek comfortable seats in the Duma, Verkhovna Rada, or local parliaments; who do not wait for any approval of those in power; with whom we “will share the glory", and to whom "socialism, built in battles, will be a common memorial".

KKE responds to the statement issued by the Russian Communist Workers’ Party (RCWP)

In response to a statement issued by the RCWP after the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties that was held in Havana, the International Relations Section of the CC of the KKE notes the following:

“We have read, to our sorrow, the statement issued by the Russian Communist Workers’ Party (RCWP) following the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties (IMCWP) in Havana. We believe that it is engaging in another attack, in a non-comradely or at least a critical spirit, against the KKE, the Communist Party of Mexico, the Communist Party of the Workers of Spain, and the Communist Party of Turkey that took the lead in issuing the Joint Statement of 43 Communist and Workers’ Parties and 30 Communist Youth Organizations. The Joint Statement condemned the imperialist war in Ukraine based on class, communist criteria as a war between the USA-NATO-EU and capitalist Russia.

On the unacceptable stance of the RCWP towards KKE

To the CC of the RCWP

Athens 03/06/2022

Comrades,

We received your reply to the CC of the KKE of 6 May 2022 and we also read the article which was published in SOLIDNET.

First of all, we are saddened with the style and the unacceptable accusations addressed to our party in both texts, which are absolutely baseless and unacceptable. The leadership of the RCWP is well aware of the fact that the KKE has supported your party as well many CPs, that it has essentially assisted them in difficult moments, and that it has expressed its solidarity in practice, faithful to the principle of proletarian internationalism. These facts refute the slander of arrogance on our party which are used in order to justify the mistaken positions of the leadership of the RCWP, positions that are far away from our principles.

KKE: The imperialist war in Ukraine and the stance of the Russian Communist Workers’ Party (RCWP)

Article of the International Relations Section of the CC of the KKE

On the stance of the RCWP on the imperialist war in Ukraine

Following the article on the stance of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), we would also like to respond to some questions about the stance of the Russian Communist Workers’ Party (RCWP) regarding the war in Ukraine; questions which also arise from some unfounded remarks made by the RCWP about the Resolution of the CC of the KKE that some “well-intentioned” people, who are hostile to the principled positions of the KKE and support the geopolitical plans of the Russian bourgeoisie, took care to translate into Greek and disseminate in various media outlets.

Stepan Malentsov on Ukraine war: "The fundamental solution of the problem is only on the path of socialism"

Commenting on the developments in the Ukraine war, the First Secretary of the CC of the Communist Workers' Party of Russia (RWCP) Stepan Malentsov pointed out the following:

"I would strongly advise everyone to pay attention to the fact that the majority of the media talk less about the task of denazification, i.e. about the eradication of Nazism, fascism of the Bandera modification. It is understandable. This issue is much more complex than just demilitarization, i.e. destruction of military infrastructure during hostilities and further disarmament under pressure from the prevailing force.

Russian Communist Workers' Party on Ukraine war

In a statement titled “No to fascism! No to imperialist war”, the Russian Communist Workers' Party (RCWP) refers to Russia's invasion in Ukraine, stressing out that the actual aims of Vladimir Putin's government is to “strengthen the position of imperialist Russia in the world market competition”.

“Neither the Russian authorities nor the US and EU leaders pay much attention to the working people. We have no doubt that the real aims of the Russian state in this war are imperialistic”, the statement of the RCWP states. The Party acknowledges that “the source of the conflict is the inter-imperialist contradictions between the US, the EU and Russia”, adding that “the goal of the more powerful US imperialism is to weaken its Russian competitor and expand its infuence in the European market”.

Hands off the communists! KKE condemns the persecution of communists in the Russian city of Tyumen

The Russian authorities in the city of Tyumen on November 7, 2020, the day of the 103rd anniversary of the October Revolution, banned the events of the Communist Workers' Party of Russia under the pretext of the pandemic, violently suppressing them, despite the observance by the organizers of all the necessary health rules. In addition, they violently attacked and arrested the Secretary of the CWPR Organization and other executives of the organization, initiating prosecutions against them.

The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) condemns these anti-communist actions of the authorities in the city of Tyumen, which are part of the ideological-political operation to silence the revolutionary message of the Red October, which is especially evident since the authorities had allowed other mass activities, while in other cities related activities for the October Revolution were carried, without any particular problems.

The RKPR-CPSU notes that “the opposition did not recognize the results even before they were announced, even long before the elections”, adding that “it does not really matter whether this right-wing opposition is pro-Western or pro-Russian” because “in any case, it is pro-imperialist”. The Belarusian opposition – states the party – is “clearly nationalistic in nature” and “in many respects similar to the Kiev Maidan”.
