Mitsotakis' anti-communist rant against the KKE

By Nikos Mottas

Today, Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis couldn't hide his disturbance for the fact that the Communist Party (KKE) leads the struggle against the monstrous bill which establishes private universities. For that reason he resorted to hideous anti-communism, unleashing slanders against the KKE.

The pretext behind Mitsotakis' rant was yesterday's speech of KKE's General Secretary Dimitris Koutsoumbas who exposed and denounced phenomena of extreme exploitation of female and male students in Nordic countries due to the commercialization of High Education. More specifically, Secretary Koutsoumbas criticized the so-called “Scandinavian model”, saying:

KKE denounces the appearance of Nazi Azov battalion members in the Greek Parliament

Yesterday's disgraceful and utterly disgusting images in the Greek Parliament, with the presence of Nazi Azov battalion soldiers during Volodymir Zelensky's teleconference, consist a complete vindication of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) which refused to participate.

Zelensky's address included the recorded messages of two members of the Nazi Azov battalion who fight against the Russians in Ukraine.

In a comment published on Twitter, the Press Office of the CC of the KKE stressed out:

The above is officially confirmed by a letter sent to Konstantinos Tassoulas, President of the Hellenic Parliament. The letter, which is signed by all KKE MPs, reads:

“Letter from the KKE Parliamentary Group to the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Konstantinos Tassoulas.

KKE: Greek government's 2021 state budget is a "monument of unpopularity"

The 2021 state budget submitted by the conservative New Democracy (ND) government is a "monument of unpopularity against the working people", said the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) Dimitris Koutsoumbas during a speech in the Parliament.

Koutsoumbas strongly denounced the policies of the government during the pandemic, adding that the measures announced aim at strengthening the capital at the expense of the workers and people's rights. The KKE General Secretary pointed out that ND, opposition party SYRIZA and all the other bourgeois parties in the parliament are "strategically aligned" in the same policy, despite minor differences.

Greek communist MP asks to be relieved of Parliament duties in order to serve as a doctor against the pandemic

Communist Party of Greece (KKE) MP and pulmonologist Giorgos Lambroulis asked Parliament to temporarily relieve him from his duties as one of eight vice presidents of the body, so that he may help out his region Larissa, central Greece, in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a letter to President Konstantinos Tasoulas released Monday, Lambroulis, a doctor in the National Health System (ESY), criticized Greek governments for ignoring chronic shortages in the health sector, and called on fellow-MPs who are doctors to follow his example. "My place is with my fellow doctors and nursing staff that are fighting under adverse conditions to care for the people, in the public health sector of Larissa," he said.

“Capitalist development neither is nor can ever be development for all” said the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) Dimitris Koutsoumbas during his speech in the Parliament on labour issues.

Koutsoumbas fired against New Democracy government reforms saying that what Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis describes as “Greece of development and prosperity” has absolutely nothing to do with what the workers are experiencing.

Communist MPs Giorgios Marinos and Thanasis Pafilis.
On Tuesday, the Greek-U.S. Defense Agreement, which actually expands the existing network of U.S. military bases in the country, was discussed at the Greek Parliament’s Committee. In the coming days the issue will be brought in the Parliament’s plenary in the form of a draft law that the parties will be called to vote for or against.

Dimitris Koutsoumbas: "USA-NATO-EU do not protect Greece's sovereign rights"

“The doctrine which says that if Greece is the good child of NATO, USA, EU will, supposedly, protect its sovereign rights has been completely, demonstrably and historically bankrupt” said the General Secretary of the CC of the KKE Dimitris Koutsoumbas during his speech at the Greek Parliament on Wednesday.

Speaking at the Parliament's Plenary regarding the voting rights of Greeks abroad, Koutsoumbas accussed both the New Democracy government, as well as the bourgeois parties of the opposition, that they are all committed to the doctrine of Greece's participation in the imperialist alliances of NATO and the EU. The KKE leader blamed the other political forces that pose a fake dilemma to the Greek people which is “either regression towards Turkey or conflict and military involvement”. This dilemma has been highlighted once again these days due to the “unacceptable agreement between Turkey and Libya”.

"North Macedonia" accession to NATO is a crime against the country's own people

"The signature of all of you has no ink but blood, which is going to chase you and you will pay dearly in your whole political life" said Thanasis Pafilis, the Communist Party of Greece's parliamentary representative during the discussion in the Greek Parliament's Committee of Foreign Affairs and Defense, regarding the protocol of FYROM's (now renamed as "North Macedonia") accession to NATO

Pafilis stressed that the protocol consists the essence of the Tsipras-Zaev Agreement which, as he pointed out, took place in order to accelerate the neighboring country's accesion to the imperialist alliance. During his speech, the KKE MP read an extract from a U.S. State Department report saying that Greece has taken a leading role in the process of Western Balkans' integration in the EU and NATO. "Congratulations, mission accomplished" said Pafilis referring to the deputies of SYRIZA

KKE leader Koutsoumbas destroys Tsipras during Parliamentary debate: "You should be ashamed, you are the stooges of the U.S"

During a fierce debate in the Greek Parliament regarding the Prespes Agreement (name deal) on Thursday late night, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) Dimitris Koutsoumbas responded to the hideous provocations by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.

In an effort to defend his pro-imperialist foreign policy and more specifically the unacceptable Prespes deal which bears the signature of NATO, Tsipras unleashed outrageous slanders against the KKE. He even resorted to provocative references to heroic Slav-Macedonian fighters of the Communist-backed 1946-1949 Democratic Army of Greece in order to present the name agreement as an... anti-imperialist achievement!

KKE votes against Tsipras' government and the Prespes Agreement

In its bulletin on the political developments, the Press Bureau of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) states the following:
“The bargaining of the previous days between Tsipras (SYRIZA) – Kammenos (ANEL) ended in a search for a vote of confidence in the Parliament. This is a development that suits both sides, as it provides the possibility, on the one hand for Mr. Tsipras to save his government, with votes from ANEL parliament members,  and on the other hand, allows  Mr. Kammenos to maintain his Parliamentary Group, appearing to stand up against a policy that he has supported throughout all of the previous period.

Thanasis Pafilis on Macedonia Issue: "NATO and EU are the people's murderers, not guarantors of borders"

Speaking earlier today (Wednesday) at the Greek Parliament, the parliamentary spokesman of the Communist Party of Greece Thanasis Pafilis, mentioned that nobody must see the Macedonia name issue (between Greece and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) "detached from all the developments in the wider region and especially in the Balkans".

Thanasis Pafilis attacked both those who organize nationalist rallies - such as the one that took place three days ago in Thessaloniki- as well as those who express cosmopolitan views, underlining that both "do not challenge the accession of this country in NATO and the EU". More specifically, the KKE MP said: "The government's urgency [to solve the problem] - we don't know what agreements made in the USA- is exactly related with that. Because the USA and NATO in general are interested to incorporate FYROM in NATO and the EU, in order to finish the encirclement of Russia".

Pafilis (KKE): The government of SYRIZA whitewashes the capitalist system

Thanasis Pafilis.
Speaking in the Parliament about the 2018 state budget, the Communist Party of Greece MP Thanasis Pafilis denounced both SYRIZA and the opposition party of New Democracy for their efforts to disorientate the people about the real enemy- capitalism. As Pafilis said, behind their disputes, SYRIZA and New Democracy try to relieve popular dissatisfaction within the same system, the power of the monopolies and the capital which exploits the wealth produced by the people.

For that reason, the KKE MP underlined, the EU, the representatives of capitalism, the industrialists congratulate the SYRIZA-ANEL government.

Pafilis also said that the government lies when it argues that by August 2018 the austerity memorandums will end, as long as none of the 600 laws will be abolished, while the implementation of antipeople measures has been scheduled to continue in 2019, 2020, even by 2060.
